About the role

As a Field Operator, you will undertake a variety of field-based operational activities that support Busselton Water's customers, assets and operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is committed to safety, quality and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities
Complete scheduled meter reading programs using both RF and manual systems.
Record accurate meter and field information and identify exceptions.
Maintain Busselton Water's grounds, gardens and outdoor areas.
Operate and maintain reticulation systems.
Undertake general maintenance and minor repairs as required.
Safely operate plant, vehicles, machinery, hand tools and equipment.
Apply weed control and herbicide treatments in accordance with licences and safety requirements.
Support operational teams with field-based activities as directed.
Identify hazards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide professional and courteous interactions with customers and the community.

About you
Current C Class Driver's Licence.
Experience working in field operations, grounds maintenance, general maintenance or a similar environment.
Ability to safely operate small plant,



equipment and hand tools.
Robust commitment to workplace health and safety.
Ability to work independently and undertake manual outdoor work.
Positive literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
Experience using handheld devices, tablets or similar technology.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in meter reading, utilities, civil maintenance or field operations (desirable).
Experience with garden reticulation, weed control, or asset maintenance (desirable).
