Qualified Support Worker

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to provide assistance over the Christmas and Recent Year period. This is a outstanding opportunity to support clients during the holiday season, with the potential for ongoing employment after this period based on performance, availability, and service needs. preferable being Able to assist in Sleepover shift coverage from November through to January.

The successful applicant will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living activities, and help clients maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

This position would suit someone who is caring, dependable, flexible, and committed to providing high-quality support.

Main duties
Helping with personal care, such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Supporting clients with meals, medication routines, and household tasks, according to their care plan and workplace policies.
Assisting with mobility, transport, appointments, and community activities.
Providing emotional support and companionship.




Encouraging clients to develop independence and make their own choices.
Following individual care plans and maintaining accurate records.
Monitoring changes in a client's health or wellbeing and reporting concerns to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
Maintaining professional boundaries, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Working with families, nurses, allied health specialists, and other support staff.

A positive support worker should be patient, compassionate, reliable, respectful, observant, and a good communicator. They also need to understand safety procedures, person-centred care, and the rights and dignity of the people they support.

Pay: $43.75 per hour
