Casual Chef

Catbird is looking for a Casual Chef to join our kitchen team. Two or three shifts a week weekdays or weekends probably mostly breakfast and lunch but if you are a confident chef with evenings available please still apply.

This role suits someone who’s confident working a fast-paced breakfast service, takes pride in positive food, and understands the rhythm of a busy café. You’ll be working with a supportive team that values consistency, cleanliness, and calm service.

The Role
Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch dishes during service
Maintain quality, speed, and presentation under pressure
Assist with prep and daily kitchen organization
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team

What We’re Looking For




Previous café or breakfast service experience
Ability to work independently during service
Solid time management and communication skills
Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure
Availability for mornings and weekends
