Injury Management Doctors is a medical practice specialising in workplace injury. When someone is hurt at work, we handle the medical side of it — assessment and treatment, certificates of capacity, and coordinating the return-to-work plan with everyone involved.

Our patients are referred by employers, insurers and GPs, and we work across workers compensation and the NSW CTP scheme. Consultations are held in clinics and by telehealth.

The role

We are looking for a medical receptionist to join our head office at Condell Park, reporting to the Clinical Manager.

This is not a clinic reception role. You will not be on a front desk greeting patients. You will be based at our office, coordinating by phone and email, and running the systems the practice depends on.

You will be the first point of contact for everyone who calls, injured workers, employers, insurers and referring doctors, and you will manage the appointment book and our practice management system across all our consultation locations and telehealth. A positive part of the job is making sure documents move: certificates, reports and correspondence going out to the right people, on time, without being chased.

Duties
Answering phones and responding to email enquiries




Booking and rescheduling appointments across clinic locations and telehealth
Managing our practice management system — patient records, appointments, recalls
Processing referrals from employers, insurers and GPs, and gathering the details needed to book
Sending certificates, reports and correspondence to employers, insurers and referrers
Preparing invoices for insurers and following up outstanding accounts
Maintaining accurate records and handling confidential health information appropriately
General administrative support to the clinical team

Requirements
Excellent telephone manner — this is the main part of the role, and many callers are injured, stressed or unfamiliar with the claims process
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Explicit written and verbal communication
Computer literate and able to pick up recent systems
Reliable and able to work independently
Right to work in Australia

Desirable
Medical reception or medical administration experience
Experience with practice management software
Experience with workers compensation, CTP or insurer billing

Pay: $55,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
