Part-Time Commis Chef / Chef de Partie (CDP)

We are looking for 2 Part-Time Commis Chefs or CDPs to join our kitchen team.

Candidates with brunch / breakfast café experience are highly preferred.

About the Role

This is a hands-on kitchen position suitable for a Commis Chef or CDP who enjoys working in a busy, skilled kitchen environment.

You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure consistent food quality, efficient service and high standards of food preparation.

Key Responsibilities
Food preparation and mise en place
Cooking and plating dishes during service
Working across breakfast, brunch and lunch sections
Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
Following recipes, SOPs and portion control
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well maintained
Working efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team
Supporting senior chefs during busy service periods
Assisting with stock rotation and general kitchen duties

What We Are Looking For
Previous experience as a Commis Chef or CDP




Brunch / breakfast café experience is highly preferred
Good understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, punctual and well organised
Positive attitude and good team communication
Ability to work independently when required
Food Safety knowledge is an advantage

Pay: $58,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
