About the role

Westland Commercial Group (WCG) is an expanding commercial landscaping company based in Melbourne's western suburbs seeking experienced and motivated people to join their team. Positions available include Foremen, Leading Hands, Qualified Landscapers and Apprentices. WCG works across a wide range of commercial landscaping projects including hard and soft landscaping, paving and structures, irrigation, carpentry, stone paving, government projects, private school projects, industrial developments, and large and medium-sized warehouse developments. The team works with Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 building contractors across Melbourne, providing the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial landscaping projects.

Key responsibilities
Work on hard and soft landscaping projects
Undertake paving and structures work
Carry out irrigation work
Perform carpentry tasks
Complete stone paving work
Read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation
For Foreman and Leading Hand positions: motivate and lead a team

About you




Certificate III in Landscape Construction for qualified positions
Experience in hard and soft landscaping
Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team for Foreman and Leading Hand positions
Current driver's licence
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Good personal presentation and communication skills
Reliability, punctuality and motivation
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong understanding of OH&S; practices
