Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated NDIS Support Worker to support a participant in North Ryde NSW with autism/ADHD.

The role will focus on helping the participant build practical skills, develop routines and increase independence. We are looking for someone who can provide hands-on guidance, encouragement and structure, while supporting the participant to develop strategies that they can use independently.

Key areas of support include:
Executive functioning and task initiation
Planning, organisation and time management
Developing and maintaining structured routines
Breaking tasks into manageable steps
Building practical daily living skills
Supporting independence and confidence
Helping implement practical strategies and routines
Working towards longer-term personal and employment-related goals

About You

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience supporting autistic and/or ADHD participants
Experience with executive functioning, routine development and capacity building




A practical and encouraging approach to support
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, consistency and the ability to build a positive working relationship
A genuine interest in helping participants develop independence rather than doing tasks for them

An interest in fashion, styling or aesthetics would be a bonus, but is not essential.

Availability

Initially, approximately 4 hours per week across two sessions, with the possibility of adjusting the hours as the participant's needs and progress become clearer.

Preferred availability:
Monday & Wednesday: between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday & Friday: between 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM
