About the role
We are seeking an independent Hygiene & Cleanliness Auditor to conduct brief, regular inspections of our hospital, spanning both clinical zones and non-clinical spaces. This is strictly an auditing and quality-control role—no physical cleaning is required. Your primary task is to spot missed dirt, evaluate sanitization standards, and provide clear, objective reports so management can maintain accountability and peak hospital cleanliness.
Key responsibilities
Conduct 2–3 weekly walkthroughs covering clinical areas (treatment rooms, prep areas, surgical suites, holding zones) and non-clinical areas (reception, staff room, restrooms, hallways)
Inspect high-touch surfaces, equipment surrounds, skirting boards, light switches, glass panels, corners, and hard-to-reach zones
Complete a standardized digital or paper audit checklist during each visit and discuss findings with management
Take photos and log specific items requiring detail work or re-cleaning
Submit concise weekly audit reports directly to hospital management
About you
An uncompromising eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness, ideally with exposure to medical, veterinary, dental, or laboratory environments
Background in quality assurance, infection control, compliance, WHS, or facility management is highly regarded
Total objectivity, consistency, and clear written communication skills
Ability to work independently on a versatile schedule
Benefits
Ultra-versatile schedule (walkthroughs take 60 minutes per visit)
Competitive hourly rate for specialized quality control
About us
We are a dedicated veterinary hospital committed to excellence in patient care and facility standards. Maintaining strict hygiene across both clinical and non-clinical environments is vital for patient safety, infection control, and team wellbeing.
