About the role

BOTO is the hospitality offering within The Boatshed Market in Cottesloe, combining quality food, wine and genuine service in a relaxed but premium environment.

We’re looking for experienced and enthusiastic fulltime or casual worker to join our front-of-house team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hospitality and providing exceptional service, but is looking for more lifestyle-friendly hours than a traditional restaurant environment.

With BOTO closing by 9pm, there are no late-night finishes.

Key responsibilities
Greet and seat guests, providing a warm and professional first impression
Deliver attentive, knowledgeable table service throughout the guest journey
Provide informed wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the dining experience
Take and process food and beverage orders accurately using our POS system
Assist with the responsible service of alcohol in line with liquor licensing requirements
Support the training and mentoring of new front of house staff
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the dining area
Handle guest queries, feedback, and any issues promptly and professionally
Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow




Assist with opening/closing duties and general front of house operations

About you
Wine knowledge/experience – confident guiding guests through our wine list and making thoughtful recommendations
Approved Manager Card (WA) – current and valid
Staff training experience – comfortable onboarding and mentoring new team members
Food service experience – proven background in a busy restaurant or hospitality venue
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences
Ability to stay calm and organised during busy service periods
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
