Belgraphik Building Design is an established building design practice servicing residential and small commercial projects across Victoria.
Following a change in ownership, we are seeking a currently registered Building Designer – Architectural to join our team and take a senior technical role within the practice.
Success in this position means ensuring our projects are technically sound, compliant and efficiently delivered, while providing guidance to our existing design and drafting team. As the business grows, there is scope for the position to develop into a Design Manager / Technical Lead role.
Responsibilities
Review and oversee building design and construction documentation
Ensure designs comply with the NCC, Victorian building regulations and relevant standards
Prepare, review and coordinate building permit documentation
Liaise with clients, building surveyors, councils, engineers and other consultants
Provide technical guidance and support to the existing design team
Review documentation prior to issue
Manage building design projects from concept through to approval
Assist with improving design, documentation and project delivery processes
Qualifications
Current Victorian registration as a Building Designer – Architectural is essential
Solid residential building design and documentation experience
Sound knowledge of the NCC and Victorian building regulatory requirements
Experience with building permit documentation and approvals
Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge
Good communication and project coordination skills
ArchiCAD experience highly regarded
The Prospect This is an chance to take a key role within an established practice entering its next stage of growth.
Full-time is preferred , however we are open to part-time or contract arrangements for the right person. Versatile working arrangements can also be discussed.
