Deputy Director, Medical Services

Location: Toowoomba, QLD

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Total remuneration package $316,007 to $489,067 p.a. + 12.75% super, 17.5% leave loading, vehicle allowance, career development support, regional allowance, indemnity cover, and private practice arrangements.

About the Role

A senior medical leadership prospect within a large regional health service supporting over 300,000 residents. This role focuses on strengthening medical workforce capability, clinical governance, patient safety, and service sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead medical workforce recruitment, retention, and workforce planning initiatives.

Support clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety outcomes.

Drive strategic service development and healthcare innovation.

Provide expert advice on workforce strategy and organisational priorities.

Collaborate with senior clinicians and executive leaders to improve healthcare delivery.

What We're Looking For

Medical practitioner registration in Australia, or eligibility for registration.

Extensive experience in medical leadership, workforce management, and clinical governance.

Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Commitment to quality improvement, education,



and patient-centred care.
