Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Receptionist role based in Bondi Junction, NSW.
The Medical
Receptionist will greet patients, manage front desk operations, and ensure a welcoming, efficient check-in and check-out experience. Daily tasks include answering and directing phone calls, managing appointment scheduling, updating patient records, processing payments, and coordinating with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow. The role also involves handling referrals, managing correspondence, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting with general administrative duties as needed. The successful candidate will contribute to a calm,
organized reception area and uphold high standards of professionalism and patient care.
Qualifications
Ability to perform core receptionist duties, including greeting patients, managing front desk workflows, and handling inquiries in a courteous, professional manner.
Solid appointment scheduling skills, with experience using practice management or booking systems to coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups.
Excellent phone etiquette, including transparent communication, active listening, and appropriate handling of patient calls and messages.
Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of a medical office environment, including basic knowledge of referrals, billing, and patient privacy requirements.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical setting.
Proficient computer skills, including use of email, medical records, and standard office software.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role is highly regarded.
