Who we’re looking for:

An experienced Mixed crop Farmer (Farm Manager) who will be responsible for leading and directing farm programs to maximize the yield and quality potential of our produce in Korunye South Australia.

This is a senior management role overseeing our farm production.

What you’ll be doing:

The Mixed Crop Farmer (Farm Manager) will, in collaboration with the management and other support resources ensure that day to day farming and production operations are executed in a secure, timely and cost-effective manner. Informed participation in strategic seasonal planning of crop production and labour programs is critical to this role.

Responsibilities:

Assist the development of, and be responsible for implementing, agronomic programs and horticultural practices to optimize crop health, quality and yield.

Lead and train staff (farm hands, seasonal workers and machinery operators) on safety standards, performance objectives and respectful conduct.

Manage water usage, fertigation and spray programs in accordance with crop demand.





Ensure farms operate within a planned budget and proactively report variances or unexpected cost incursions.

Maintain all farm assets and equipment in accordance with company standards.

Annual coordination of harvest activities and labour.

Maintain complex logs regarding crop yields, chemical standards, environmental guidelines and WHS regulations.

Ensure compliance with farm biosecurity standards, environmental guidelines and WHS regulations.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, or equivalent is preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in horticulture or equivalent sector.

Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships at all levels.

Knowledge of irrigation and nutrient management and pest & disease control methods.

Facilities and equipment management.

Valid Driving licence and chemical handling certificate or willingness to obtain.

Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
