In this role, you will lead and coordinate a vibrant and inclusive sport program that promotes participation, skill development, wellbeing and pathways to excellence for students in Years 3-6.
Working closely with the Director of Sport and broader school community, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality sporting opportunities while fostering a positive culture of teamwork, sportsmanship and engagement. This position includes a substantive teaching load across Years 3 to 6 and the ability to teach across a range of primary curriculum areas will be highly regarded
This permanent, full time teaching position with additional Position of Responsibility commences Term ******. The key responsibilities are to:
Lead and coordinate the Year 3-6 sport and physical education program.
Oversee interschool sport, SAPSASA participation and co-curricular sporting opportunities.
Support, mentor and coordinate coaches to ensure a high-quality student experience.
Coordinate sporting fixtures, training schedules, facilities and equipment requirements.
Build strong relationships with students, families, staff and external providers.
Promote student participation, achievement and wellbeing through sport and physical activity.
Teach students in Years 3-6, contributing positively to learning, engagement and academic growth.
About you:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience teaching in a primary school setting, particularly across Years 3-6.
Experience coordinating sporting programs, teams or co-curricular activities.
A passion for sport, physical education and the holistic development of young people.
The ability to teach across a range of primary curriculum learning areas.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues.
Proven leadership capability, initiative and a cooperative approach to teamwork.
A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and professional growth.
