ISS is seeking aSenior Workplace Facilities Assistantto join our Workplace & Facilities team in Sydney.
This highly visible, front‐of‐house role is responsible for creating a warm, professional and seamless experience for employees, clients and visitors while supporting the day‐to‐day coordination of our newly refurbished workplace.
Based primarily at reception on the client floor, you will be the face of ISS—ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to service excellence, safety, and a positive workplace culture.
About the Role
As theSenior Workplace Facilities Assistant, you will deliver a blend of reception, workplace coordination, event support, meeting room management and general facilities assistance.
You will work closely with the Workplace/Facilities Coordinator, Key Account Manager and broader ISS team to ensure the Sydney office operates smoothly and presents at its best every day.
This role requires someone who is organised, proactive, tech‐savvy and confident managing multiple priorities at once—often across several floors.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Customer ServiceProvide a welcoming front‐of‐house experience, greet employees and visitors, manage incoming calls and respond to workplace enquiries.
Workplace Experience & PresentationConduct regular checks of meeting rooms, kitchens and common areas to ensure they are clean, tidy, functional and well presented.
Encourage staff engagement in workplace activities.
Office OperationsSupport daily workplace operations, resolve issues and escal
Meeting & Event SupportAssist with room setup, furniture configuration, basic technology, visitor requirements and coordination of training sessions, town halls and client events.
Team SupportWork collaboratively with the Workplace/Facilities Coordinator and Manager, taking ownership of assigned tasks and helping prioritise daily activities.
Communication & Stakeholder ManagementMaintain professional communication with employees, clients, contractors and internal teams.
Safety & ComplianceFollow workplace safety and security procedures, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
General Facilities SupportAssist with additional workplace duties as directed by the manager.
About You
You will thrive in this role if you are:
Experienced in a professional environment (2–3 years minimum).
Organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities.
Professionally presented with excellent communication skills.
Customer‐focused and confident interacting with clients and staff.
Skilled in Microsoft Office and comfortable with general IT systems.
Experienced inevent coordinationor workplace support.
Able to think on your feet and maintain calm in a fast‐paced environment.
Someone who enjoys being part of workplace culture and encouraging engagement.
