About the Role
n
As a Health Assistant (Nursing), you will work under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent. You will work as an assistant and support person to the Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to provide delegated aspects of direct and non-direct patient care.
n
n
Assist with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and mobility, transfers and positioning within the ward
n
Maintain a safe patient workplace
n
Assist with making beds (not discharge and admission) and keeping the ward tidy
n
Communicate effectively with patients, families and the wider team
n
n
Classifications for this position will range from IN37 - IN39 ($59,282- $68, 384per annum).
n
Your Contribution
n
Certificate III Health Assistant (nursing), or other relevant certificate or satisfactory completion of second year of study in undergraduate nursing degree
n
Permanent residency status within Australia
n
Good interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and families
n
Experience is healthcare setting is desirable
n
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
n
