Job Description
ISS is seeking a Senior Workplace Facilities Assistant to join our Workplace & Facilities team in Sydney. This highly visible, front‐of‐house role is responsible for creating a warm, professional and seamless experience for employees, clients and visitors while supporting the day‐to‐day coordination of our newly refurbished workplace.

Based primarily at reception on the client floor, you will be the face of ISS—ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to service excellence, safety, and a positive workplace culture.

About the Role
n
As the Senior Workplace Facilities Assistant, you will deliver a blend of reception, workplace coordination, event support, meeting room management and general facilities assistance. You will work closely with the
Workplace/Facilities
Coordinator, Key Account Manager and broader ISS team to ensure the Sydney office operates smoothly and presents at its best every day.

This role requires someone who is organised, proactive, tech‐savvy and confident managing multiple priorities at once—often across several floors.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Reception & Customer Service Provide a welcoming front‐of‐house experience, greet employees and visitors, manage incoming calls and respond to workplace enquiries.
n
Workplace Experience & Presentation Conduct regular checks of meeting rooms, kitchens and common areas to ensure they are clean, tidy, functional and well presented. Encourage staff engagement in workplace activities.
n
Office Operations Support daily workplace operations, resolve issues and escal
n
Meeting & Event Support Assist with room setup, furniture configuration, basic technology, visitor requirements and coordination of training sessions, town halls and client events.
n
Team Support Work collaboratively with the
Workplace/Facilities
Coordinator and Manager, taking ownership of assigned tasks and helping prioritise daily activities.
n
Communication & Stakeholder Management Maintain professional communication with employees, clients, contractors and internal teams.
n
Safety & Compliance Follow workplace safety and security procedures, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
n
General Facilities Support Assist with additional workplace duties as directed by the manager.
n

About You
n
You will thrive in this role if you are:

Experienced in a professional environment (2–3 years minimum).
n
Organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities.
n
Professionally presented with excellent communication skills.
n
Customer‐focused and confident interacting with clients and staff.
n
Skilled in Microsoft Office and comfortable with general IT systems.
n
Experienced in event coordination or workplace support.
n
Able to think on your feet and maintain calm in a fast‐paced environment.
n
