We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Rep to support the daily operational needs of a large trailer manufacturer. The ideal candidate with have at least 3 years experience in sales, primarily in the automotive or machinery manufacturing, and demonstrate an ability to form robust, long lasting relationships with external stakeholders. The business involves:
n
n
the manufacture and sale of the client's range of plant, tipper, car and box trailers;
n
the importation and distribution of Brian James Trailers, a premium UK brand used extensively to transport small earth moving and construction equipment; and
n
the importation and distribution of Riviera Horse Floats, a premium range of horse transport products.
n
n
The successful candidate will need to effectively apply their skill set and demonstrate a firm understanding of sales techniques, lead management and organic growth.
n
Primary Roles and Responsibility
n
n
Responding to enquiries from Facebook, telephone, website, email and walk-in traffic;
n
extensive interaction with customers,



both on-site and at occasional off-site events such as trade shows and field days;
n
Liaison with the workshop team to ensure products are assembled in a timely fashion and ready for handover to customers as ordered;
n
Affixing licence plates and VIN plates to completed products, and performing the final quality check;
n
Invoicing, taking payments, licensing and other paperwork to complete sales;
n
Handing over sold products to customers;
n
General marketing and advertising functions, particularly on social media; and
n
Some administrative functions such as maintaining sales materials.
n

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:
n
n
People skills are a must, and a background in sales or marketing in the automotive, machinery, or horse industries would be highly advantageous
n
Knowledge of vehicle licensing in NSW would also be very beneficial.
n
Experience in a similar sales role would be valuable but is not essential.
n
Be personable, organised and professional;
n
Be an independent self starter;
n
Have a proven track record in sales and customer service;
n
Have mechanical aptitude;
n
Be social media savvy;
n
Hold a current drivers licence; and experience operating a forklift
n
Ideally have experience using sales or inventory management software.
