Job Description
This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity for up to 4 months to cover parental leave, commencing in late June.
Availability for morning shifts from Tuesday to Saturday is required.
As an RN, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering clinical care, supporting residents' health and well-being, and mentoring care staff under the guidance of our facility management.
This is a rewarding prospect to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Supervise and support care staff in delivering high-quality care
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines
Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and changes in condition
Maintain accurate resident records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families
Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland, operates two aged care facilities: Kerrisdale Gardens and Good Shepherd Lodge.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our clinical team at Kerrisdale Gardens on a fixed-term basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, supervising and supporting care staff, and maintaining a safe and caring environment for residents.

The successful candidate will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Previous experience in residential aged care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
Commitment to resident-centered care and adherence to care plans
Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to employment
Current Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or willingness to obtain, in line with QLD aged care requirements
Availability to work morning shift.
