LEADONE OF REGIONAL QUEENSLAND'S LARGEST WATER INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAMSAND SHAPE THE FUTURE OF THE TOOWOOMBA REGION
Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking an exceptional LeadProject Manager to lead the delivery of major waterinfrastructure projects as part of the $300 million Enabling GrowthInfrastructure Program (EGIP).
This transformational program represents one of the mostsignificant investments in water infrastructure across theToowoomba Region and will play a vital role in supporting futuregrowth, water security and community resilience.
Reporting to the Program Director – Enabling GrowthInfrastructure Program, this position will provide leadershipacross several strategically important projects, including the
Southern Water Treatment Plant, Mt Peel Reservoir andassociated water network infrastructure
.
The role willalso oversee a team of experienced engineering and projectprofessionals responsible for planning, approvals, compliance andproject delivery.

The Opportunity
As Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading theplanning, procurement and delivery of major capital works projects,ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently and inaccordance with Council's Project Management Framework and programobjectives.
Working closely with senior leaders, contractors, consultants,regulators and stakeholders, you will provide both technical andcommercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of infrastructureprojects.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the delivery of large-scale water infrastructureprojects from planning through to completion.
Managing project scope, budget, schedule,



procurement,contracts and risk.
Providing leadership, mentoring and direction tomultidisciplinary project teams.
Preparing business cases, reports and recommendations tosupport informed decision-making.
Building strong relationships with internal and externalstakeholders.
Providing specialist technical, commercial and projectmanagement advice.
Promoting a culture of safety, accountability andcontinuous improvement.
About You
You are a highly capable project leader with experiencedelivering significant infrastructure, utilities, water,construction or capital works projects.
You have a strong understanding of project governance, contractmanagement and stakeholder engagement, combined with the ability tolead teams and navigate complex project environments.
To be successful, you will bring:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or arelated discipline.
RPEQ registration, or the ability to obtain registrationwithin an agreed timeframe.
Demonstrated experience delivering complex infrastructureor capital works projects.
Strong commercial, contract management and procurementexperience.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholderengagement skills.
A commitment to safety and achieving high-qualityoutcomes.

Council is prepared to negotiate a competitive TotalRemuneration Package of up to
$210,000
,commensurate with skills, experience, and demonstratedcapability for this 4 year contract.
