As the Technical Representative for the Resource Industries Sales, Service & Technology division of Caterpillar you will be the primary conduit between the dealers and customers for product performance and problem management within an assigned territory.
n
This role reports to a locally based Product Support Manager and works closely with various product groups, dealers and customer contacts to provide technical support for Caterpillar's extensive range of mining products.
n
This role provides an opportunity to make a difference to both the Caterpillar product and our customer's experiences. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem solving and variety in their work.

Job duties but not limited to:
n
n
Work closely with dealers and customers to identify Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) opportunities for the ongoing improvement of our products.
n
Assist Product Groups with prioritization of CPI's by providing required commercial impact statements, Voice of Customer and Dealer feedback.
n
Be Caterpillar's lead for Product Problem Management discussions with dealers and customers.
n
Act as a key resource to support execution of product performance improvement initiatives at target sites.
n
Manage service and commercial goodwill support administration across allocated dealers and customers.
n
Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and NMI (New Market Introduction) launches in the allocated territory.

Background Experience:
n
n
A tertiary qualification within a relevant field, or equivalent experience
n
Prior experience in a field position
n
Ability to work independently and to communicate effectively with others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers
n
Proven ability to communicate and negotiate across all levels of the organisation
n
Must be able to work collaboratively with Dealers, Caterpillar and the customer to meet deliverables
n
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
n
Must will be willing and able to travel both internationally and locally
n
n

Previous experience working with a dealer network an advantage
