About the Role
n
We're looking for a highly experiencedSenior Networking Engineerto join our Service & Support Operations team. This is a senior-level technical role focused on secure network design, escalations, client onboarding, and project delivery.
n
Based in Brisbane, this is a hybrid rolecombining work from home with on-site client engagement as required. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our clients' network and security environments are robust, resilient, and aligned with best practice frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
ProvideLevel 3 supportfor complex network and security incidents
n
Design and implementsecure network
architecturesacross
on-premises and cloud environments
n
Lead network and security components ofclient onboarding, refreshes, and infrastructure projects
n
Act as atrusted consulting engineerfor high-priority clients, advising on network security posture and performance
n
Take ownership ofmajor incident response, particularly across firewalls, connectivity, and security events
n
Strengthen client environments throughproactive security improvements and risk mitigation
n
Mentor engineers and contribute tonetwork/security standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing
n
Participate in client reviews and initiatives to improveservice quality and security maturity
n
Ensure all solutions align withindustry best practices and recognised security frameworks
n
n
What You'll Bring
n
n
5 – 7+ years' experience in networking within an MSP setting (essential)
n
Strong hands‐on experience withFortinet (FortiGate), FortiManager, ubiquiti unifiandBarracuda
n
Deep understanding ofnetwork security principles, including VPNs (IPSec/SSL), IDS/IPS, Zero Trust, segmentation, and access control
n
Advanced knowledge ofrouting and switching (BGP, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, STP)
n
Experience designing and supportingsecure multi‐site network environments
n
Strong experience withAzure networking and security, including:n
n
Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and peering
n
Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Azure Firewall
n
VPN Gateways and hybrid connectivity
n
Private Endpoints and secure service access
n
Managing and deploying virtual firewalls
n
n
Familiarity withidentity-driven security(Entra ID / Azure AD integration with network controls)
n
Experience withenterprise wireless networks(design, optimisation, security)
n
Strong troubleshooting skills acrossAll OSI layers
n
Experience
withnetworkmonitoring
tools such asPRTG and Auvik
n
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risk into business impact
n
Proven ability to lead projects and mentor peers
