SA SES is seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Project Officer - Infrastructure to lead the planning, procurement and delivery of infrastructure projects and building maintenance programs across South Australia.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring SES facilities are fit-for-purpose, safe, compliant and able to support the ongoing operational needs of staff and volunteers.
This role will be offered on an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
About the role Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure and Assets, you will lead a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, facility upgrades, building maintenance programs and strategic asset initiatives.
Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will provide strategic infrastructure advice, manage procurement and contract activities, and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with organisational priorities and government requirements.
You will work closely with range of key stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions that strengthen organisational capability and operational readiness across SA SES.
This role provides a unique opportunity to influence the future of SA SES infrastructure through the delivery of projects that directly support emergency preparedness, response and recovery outcomes.
The core responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to: leading the delivery of infrastructure projects , including capital works, facility upgrades and strategic infrastructure initiatives managing procurement, tendering and contract administration activities to achieve compliant and value-for-money project outcomes providing expert infrastructure advice and recommendations to support investment decisions, asset planning and organisational priorities monitoring project budgets, risks and governance requirements to ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and within approved parameters, and building productive stakeholder relationships to support project delivery,
contractor performance and continuous improvement outcomes.

Operational duties As an emergency assistance and rescue service, our people undertake duties across our routine business functions, as well as participating in operational duties during event activations.
This provides a unique opportunity to not only use the skills and knowledge you have in your daily occupation, but also to develop tactical skills while being part of the emergency response.
Operational duties may be rostered across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Staff who are rostered on operational duties are remunerated appropriately and in accordance with the relevant industrial instruments.
