$45 per hour New South Wales-based role Temporary/Casual opportunity Hands-on role supporting experienced tradespeople Opportunity to build further industry experience Support from our recruitment team throughout your assignment The Role As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside qualified tradespeople and site personnel, providing hands-on assistance across day-to-day maintenance and project activities.
Your duties may include: Assisting tradespeople with maintenance and repair activities Using basic hand and power tools Preparing tools, materials and equipment for works Assisting with the removal and installation of equipment and components General labouring and manual handling Moving and organising materials around the work area Maintaining tools and equipment General site clean-up and housekeeping Following instructions from tradespeople and supervisors Identifying and reporting hazards or equipment issues Working in accordance with all site and workplace safety procedures What We're Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have: Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Labourer or similar Experience within maintenance, construction, engineering, mining or heavy industry highly regarded Confidence using basic hand and power tools Good mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach Current Australian Driver's Licence Construction White Card where required Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual tasks Strong commitment to workplace health and safety Reliable attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team Full Australian working rights Ability to complete any required pre-employment and site requirements Additional tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift or EWP will be highly regarded.
