About us
The Victorian Road Safety Strategy ********* commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by ****, with the first step of halving road deaths by ****.
It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.
The Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership.
Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement.
Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police.
What you will do
As senior project manager, you will lead major road safety projects.
You will manage projects from planning through to delivery and handover.
You will:
* lead complex procurement processes and manage contracts with suppliers and consultants.
* deliver major capital projects within agreed budgets, timeframes and road safety goals.
* plan and manage schedules, resources, risks, issues and project costs.
* provide transparent advice, reports and updates on project progress and spending.
* lead small project teams and build strong working relationships with technical teams, suppliers and government agencies.
About you
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.
An appropriate tertiary qualification and relevant project management experience are desirable.
You should also have:




* Strong technical experience in procuring outsourced products, services or custom technology in a large organisation.
* Proven project management skills across technology or service delivery projects with contractors and consultants.
* Knowledge of project management methods, such as PRINCE2, Agile or another recognised framework.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills to manage complex issues, negotiate outcomes and lead people.
