We are partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturing business, they are looking to appoint a Procurement Specialist – Packaging to support the sourcing, supplier management and commercial performance of key packaging categories across the business.
This is an opportunity to join a team-oriented procurement team where you'll have genuine ownership of your categories, influence supplier strategy and work closely with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, quality and finance.
The Opportunity Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing packaging categories across a broad supplier network, ensuring the business has a reliable, cost-effective and sustainable supply base to support manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include: Managing sourcing and procurement activities across key packaging categories.
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and performance standards.
Leading supplier negotiations, tenders and commercial discussions.
Identifying and delivering cost-saving and value improvement initiatives.
Monitoring supplier performance, service levels and supply continuity.
Partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and NPD teams.




Supporting risk management and contingency planning across the supplier base.
Contributing to category planning and procurement improvement initiatives.
About You Experience within procurement, sourcing or supply chain in manufacturing or retail environments.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Experience managing supplier relationships and confidence to run supplier reviews and manage categories independently.
A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
A data-driven approach to decision making, combined with innovative problem-solving skills.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to build credibility across all levels of a business.
