Attorney-General's Department Job reference: ****** Location: **** - KESWICK Job status: Long Term Contract Eligibility: Open to Everyone Classification: AHP2 Salary Range: $94,997- $110,052 + Superannuation Duration: Up to 2 years Vacancy Type: Full Time Number of Positions Available: 1 Closing Date: 11:30pm, Friday 25 September **** About the Prospect The Social Worker provides professional social work support to individuals and families affected by workplace harm, including case management, psychosocial assessment, risk assessment, referral, witness management and brief intervention.
As often the single point of contact, the role provides practical, trauma-informed support and assists people to understand and navigate SafeWork SA and prosecution processes.
The role applies sound professional judgement and works with a level of independence under appropriate professional supervision.
It involves assessing needs and risks, coordinating support and referrals, and providing social work expertise to inspectors, investigators and other stakeholders.
The role requires clear and sensitive communication, particularly when working with distressed or vulnerable people, while maintaining confidentiality and meeting legislative requirements.
This is an opportunity to be part of a growing service providing person-centred support to families through regulatory processes and, at times, victims through court processes.
The role also provides opportunities to contribute to practice resources, training, data quality and continuous improvement.
About the Business SafeWork SA is a business unit within Attorney-General's Department and is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety, and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia.
As a regulator, our Investigators and Inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safety standards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected.
We also help people better understand their work health and safety responsibilities.
