$99hr Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week Delivery of maintenance services across early childhood education facilities Our client, Department of Education, are currently seeking a Principal Infrastructure Services Officer (Asset Management/Maintenance Specialist) for an initial contract until October ****.
This role is pivotal to ensuring the effective delivery of maintenance services across early childhood education facilities and would suit an experienced asset management, maintenance, infrastructure, or program delivery professional.
Key Responsibilities Lead the assessment, prioritisation, approval and monitoring of more than 4,000 reactive maintenance requests and 80 planned maintenance projects annually.
Ensure maintenance services are delivered in accordance with legislative, regulatory and departmental requirements.
Support the ongoing safety, functionality and compliance of early childhood education facilities to minimise disruption to service delivery.
Provide financial management, governance oversight and assurance for maintenance expenditure, including approval, monitoring and acquittal of funding.
Deliver timely, accurate and strategic maintenance advice to regional stakeholders and Central Governing Bodies (CGBs).
Prepare reports, briefs and performance information to support asset planning, risk management and executive decision-making.
Build and maintain effective relationships with regional offices, schools, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
Monitor maintenance program performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, risk mitigation and value-for-money outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Experience managing maintenance,



infrastructure, asset management or facilities-related programs.
Strong knowledge of governance, financial management and risk management practices.
Proven ability to manage high-volume work programs and competing priorities within tight timeframes.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to provide transparent and practical advice to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information and make sound recommendations.
Experience leading teams, projects or complex operational programs in a government, education, infrastructure or related environment will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be required to hold a Blue Card for this position.
