About the role
As a Hub Practitioner, you will be the first point of contact for Aboriginal individuals and families seeking support through The Orange Door.
You will complete intake and assessment processes, respond to immediate needs, and provide culturally safe, trauma-informed support to Aboriginal women, children, men and families.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver timely interventions, coordinate short-term support, and connect clients with the services and agencies best placed to meet their ongoing needs, helping to strengthen safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes for community.
About You
You are a culturally responsive practitioner with experience supporting Aboriginal individuals and families through assessment, care planning and short term support.
You build trusted relationships, respond confidently to complex and crisis situations, and are committed to promoting choice, self determination and culturally safe outcomes.
You enjoy working collaboratively, providing guidance to colleagues and partner services, maintaining accurate records, and helping strengthen culturally informed practice across The Orange Door network.
Requirements:
A degree in social work (or equivalent)
or willingness to work toward the qualification in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy or significant lived experience relevant to the work
Minimum two years' experience in Family Violence sector
Where a degree is commenced but not completed, salary will be fixed at Award Level 4 until successful completion
Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and aVictorian Driver Licence.
Current COVID-19 vaccination(Strongly Recommended)
