The Position
Beaconhills College is seeking an outstanding educational leader to become its next Head of Education.
This is a significant executive leadership opportunity within a highly regarded leading independent co-educational Christian school, providing the opportunity to lead learning outcomes from Early Years to Year 12 across both the Berwick and Pakenham campuses.
As Beaconhills continues to advance its vision of personalised holistic education, the Head of Education will play a pivotal role in shaping contemporary educational practice, strengthening professional capability and ensuring every student is equipped to thrive in learning and life.
Reporting to the Executive Principal and serving as a member of the College Executive Team, the Head of Education provides whole-of-College leadership for teaching and learning across both campuses.
The role is responsible for advancing the College's educational strategy, leading curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, professional learning, digital services and educational innovation.
Working closely with campus leaders and teaching and learning teams, the Head of Education will build consistency, collaboration and shared practice across the College, ensuring that educational initiatives align with the College Strategic Plan, Learning That Matters framework and its commitment to contemporary, research-informed and future-focused learning.




The successful candidate will be a contemporary and highly credible educational leader with substantial senior leadership experience and a deep understanding of teaching and learning practice, curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment and professional growth.
Beaconhills College is seeking a leader with academic rigour who can translate educational research and strategy into meaningful improvements in classroom practice, build teacher capability and foster a cohesive learning culture across two campuses.
You will bring robust systems thinking, an evidence-informed approach, a visible and collaborative leadership style, and the ability to lead practice and change within a complex school environment.
Alignment with the College's values of Respect, Compassion and Integrity, together with a commitment to personalised learning, innovation and educational excellence, will be essential.
