St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking enthusiastic New Graduate Physiotherapists to join our Physiotherapy Department in January ****.
We have three full‐time, fixed‐term Grade 1 positions available as part of our 24‐month rotating new graduate program.
This is an exciting prospect to build your clinical skills and confidence while gaining broad experience across a leading tertiary health service.
We will provide a friendly and supportive Physiotherapy Department with a strong focus on clinical learning, professional development and evidence‐based practice.
Throughout the programme, you will generally rotate every four months across a variety of clinical areas, which may include: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Neurosciences, Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, Emergency, Mental Health, Rehabilitation.
Rotations are undertaken across our Fitzroy, Kew and Hawthorn campuses, providing exposure to a diverse range of patients, clinical environments and multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role
As a Grade 1 Physiotherapist, you will provide high‐quality, person‐centred physiotherapy assessment and management while working closely with experienced Physiotherapists and the broader multidisciplinary team.
The role includes rostered weekend and public holiday work, and applicants must be willing to work across St Vincent's campuses as required.
Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement.
Classification: Physiotherapist Grade 1 VA3–VA7 ($70,****** - $85,****** per annum).
What You Will Do
Provide evidence‐based physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management for patients within your allocated clinical area.
Develop your clinical reasoning and physiotherapy skills across a broad range of rotations.
Work collaboratively with Physiotherapists, medical, nursing and other Allied Health professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team.
Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical handovers and care planning.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Represent physiotherapy and patient needs at relevant team, family and departmental meetings.




Participate in professional development, education and learning opportunities within the department.
Contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives.
Work across St Vincent's campuses and participate in rostered weekend and public holiday services as required.
Your Contribution
A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy, completed or due for completion prior to commencement.
Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist, or eligibility to obtain registration prior to commencing the position.
Clinical placement experience within healthcare settings.
A commitment to providing high‐quality, evidence‐based and person‐centred care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively within a multidisciplinary team.
Good organisational and time‐management skills.
A willingness to learn, seek feedback and continually develop your clinical practice.
