Qualifications
Appropriatecoachingcertification as regulated by the IESA --OR-- Illinois Professional Educator License
Robust knowledge of the sport and an ability to teach and develop the skills of our student-athletes
Ability to build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
Effective communication skills with students and adults
Willingness and ability to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends
Willing to travel with the team to different locations for practices/games, as needed
Compensation
This is a Differential position.
The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website.
Coacheswith 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience.
Employment as acoachis on an at-will basis.
