About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established ASX-listed mining contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the restart of mining operations at a silver mine in the Cobar Basin, Central West NSW.
This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to play a key part in bringing a significant asset back into production.
About the Role
Reporting to the GM of Mining, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the mine restart project.
This includes planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring all operational, safety, and commercial objectives are achieved.
Along with this build a high performing team across Maintenance & Production at this open-cut mine operation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the restart of surface mining operations from planning through to execution
Oversee project timelines, budgets,



and resource allocation
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including operations, maintenance, and contractors
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Identify and mitigate project risks while driving continuous improvement
Engage with key stakeholders including site leadership, corporate teams, and external partners
Deliver the project on time and within budget while maintaining high safety standards
About You
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the mining sector
Strong background in surface mining operations (essential)
Demonstrated experience in mine restart, ramp-up, or brownfield project environments (highly regarded)
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets and contracts
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
