The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing care for residents, ensuring that care is provided in accordance with the care plan.
This includes collaboration with residents, their advocates, medical officers, and other healthcare professionals.
The role also involves overseeing the care and clinical team on shift, acting as the Emergency Controller, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and values.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating resident admissions, discharges, and care plans.
Delivering high-quality nursing care aligned with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) standards.
Administering and managing medication delivery systems.
Providing guidance, direction, and support to team members.
Developing therapeutic relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in coordinating nursing and personal care services.
High motivation and a positive attitude.
Empathetic nature and commitment to meeting Aged Care Standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical software.
Understanding of WH&S; principles in nursing care delivery.
Current National Police Certificate (compliant with the Aged Care Act).
AHPRA registration and current practicing certificate.

Experience in the aged care sector.
Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
