If you take pride in your work, show up ready to get the job done, and enjoy being part of a team that pulls off outstanding events, we'd like to meet you.
JC Entertainment & Events is looking for a Stagehand / Production Technician to join our Port Macquarie team.
This is a casual position, generally 5 to 10 hours a week with busier weeks around bigger events, flexible work that fits around study, another job, or other commitments.
Pay ranges from $***** to $***** per hour, depending on the type of work and the experience you bring.
About JC Entertainment & Events
We're an event management and production company that delivers events clients remember for all the right reasons.
Our work spans corporate conferences, awards nights, festivals, and community activations across the Mid North Coast, Hunter, Central Coast, and Sydney regions.
Our reputation is built on preparation, reliability, and teamwork.
Every detail matters, from the gear in the truck to how we communicate on site.
We're a team that supports one another and values people who take ownership and show up with a can do attitude, whatever their experience level.
You'll be based in Port Macquarie, working under the direction of our Port Macquarie Operations Manager and senior crew, with occasional travel to Coffs Harbour or our Morisset warehouse to assist with larger events and productions.
The Role
This position involves warehouse gear preparation and on site event delivery.
You'll help get gear ready, packed, and out the door, then help set up and pack down on site, learning the trade from people who've been doing it for years.
Whether you're brand new to the industry or already have production experience, we want to hear from you.
No experience is necessary, training is fully provided, but if you've already got skills in audio, lighting, or vision, that experience will be reflected in your starting pay and the work you're given from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with show setups, builds, and pack downs alongside the crew
Help operate and maintain audio, lighting, and vision equipment
Prepare, label, and pack gear to a high standard in the warehouse
Follow instructions from Team Leaders, senior technicians, and the Warehouse Manager
Manage your time and meet job/event schedules
Communicate proactively if something's not right before it becomes a problem
Represent JC Entertainment & Events professionally on site and with clients
Travel to Coffs Harbour or Morisset when required to assist with larger events
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who shares our values of reliability, teamwork, and respect, and who takes pride in doing things properly.
You'll bring:
A genuine can do attitude and willingness to learn
Reliable transport to get to jobs and our Port Macquarie base
Availability across early mornings, late evenings, weeknights, and weekends, event schedules don't run nine to five
Comfort with occasional travel to Coffs Harbour or Morisset for larger jobs
A valid driver's licence
No experience is necessary, but if you have it, it's a bonus:
Time working in live production (audio, lighting, or vision)
Hands on experience with production consoles, LED processors, or wireless systems
MR or HR truck licence
EWP or rigging ticket
What Success Looks Like
You show up on time, ready to work, and follow direction well
Gear is prepared, packed, and handled to a high standard
You take ownership of your tasks and help the team where you can
You flag issues early rather than letting them become problems
You contribute to a positive, respectful, solution focused crew
We're looking for people who share our values and want to grow with us.
If you take pride in your work, care about doing things properly, and enjoy being part of a supportive team that delivers great results, we'd love to hear from you.
