JOB SUMMARY:
The overall scope of theWorkshop Technicianposition is to carry out service and repairs to customer and companyownedMobileElevating Work Platforms(MEWP),Telehandlers,andLightingTowers in the workshop and in the field when requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluating performance of equipment
Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications
Installing, testing,servicing,repairing,and modifying electronic,mechanical,andhydraulic equipmentand machines. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines,etc.
Conducting pre delivery inspections andassessing machines to ensure they are in valuable workingorder.
Conduct repairs and maintenance of customer and JLGownedMEWP,Lighting TowersandTelehandlers.




Assist with the training and supervision ofApprentices.
Abide by specific site instructions including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmentalpolicies.
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, ensure all tools used are in good workingorder.
Responsible for completing all appropriate paperworkand inspection forms required by ANZStandards and also by customer and/or siterequirements.
Conduct three monthly and annual inspections of machinesMEWPin accordance with JLG and ANZ industrystandards.
Participate in pre-start meetings and toolboxtalks.
Maintain personal retailLabourutilizationrates as pertarget.
Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with theteam.
General ad-hoc duties asrequired.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in a similar role– experience with mechanical,hydraulic,and electrical advantageous
Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical, or related field
Ability to effectively communicateboth written andverbal.
Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machinemanuals,and understand basic numeracy such as time, partsnumbers,andquantities.
Ability to work independently and as ateam.
