Operating primarily on the Gold Coast, as well as surrounding areas of Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and professional service.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team in Nerang.

In this role, you will oversee project pricing from the initial tendering process straight through to fabrication and site installation. We are looking for a practical, hands-on specialist who understands how steel is built and erected on-site-we are not seeking design or civil engineers for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Review architectural, structural, and workshop construction drawings.
- Prepare accurate material take-offs and labor estimates for structural steel and metalwork.
- Price end-to-end project costs (fabrication, surface treatment, transport, and site installation).
- Account for practical site installation logistics, cranage, and erection methodologies during estimating.
- Communicate directly with clients and work collaboratively alongside our internal fabrication, installation, and logistics teams.

Skills & Experience (Must-Haves)

- Structural Steel Estimating: Proven,



hands-on experience estimating structural steel projects (Supply & Install focus).
- Practical Site Experience: Strong background in site installation methodologies and site knowledge (knowing how steel goes up on-site is essential).
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to confidently interpret architectural, structural, and workshop drawings.
- Trade Background Preferred: A trade background (e.g., Boilermaking) or practical industry experience is highly regarded.

Note: Engineering/Civil Engineering qualifications are not required-practical steel estimating and site installation experience are the key priorities.
