Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical care, leadership and coordination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, residents and clients with complex care needs. Working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, culturally responsive primary health care. You will:
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning, coordination and person-centred nursing care for patients with complex needs.
- Provide clinical leadership, critical thinking and expert advice while supporting the healthcare team and supervising and mentoring nursing staff and students.
- Contribute to education, quality improvement, clinical audits, research and service innovation to strengthen practice and patient outcomes.
- Take responsibility for delegated portfolios across clinical practice, management, education, research and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.

About you:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who combines advanced clinical capability with strong leadership, collaboration and cultural awareness.
- You bring advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate comprehensive, person-centred care.
- You have demonstrated experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care and understand the cultural contexts,
social factors and health priorities influencing First Nations communities.
- You are a confident clinical leader who can communicate effectively, delegate appropriately, mentor others and contribute to a positive learning culture.
- You are committed to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, quality improvement, research and culturally secure care.

Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence, Inala Indigenous Health Service
The Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence (SQCoE) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care forms part of the Directorate and is based at Inala providing the following services:
- Inala Indigenous Health Service: provides GP, nursing and allied health clinical services; Specialists clinics; and Mums and Bubs program.
- Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Services: provides culturally appropriate service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, supporting and enhancing patient centred care.
