The roles:
Infrastructure Maintenance Program:
The Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) Program aims to ensure reliable and secure digital healthcare solutions by maintaining and upgrading the infrastructure across Queensland Health's ICT system. Major clinical applications, such as ieMR, rely on robust digital infrastructure to avoid system outages that delay the delivery of health care services.
This position plays an key role in ensuring governance processes are well managed, reporting is accurate and timely, and programme stakeholders are informed in decision making to deliver outcomes.
Digital Hospital Program (DHP):
Queensland Health is currently undertaking several of the largest health ICT programs and projects ever seen in Australia. The largest of these, the Digital Hospital Program (DHP) is a visionary program which continues to enable clinical services and enhance our technological capability by extending the availability of the ieMR into more hospitals and community care venues. The Digital Hospital Program will deliver advanced ieMR to 5 Metro North hospitals over the first 5 years. In parallel Queensland Health will be adding over 2,811 additional hospital beds across the state, with four entirely new hospitals and expansions to 11 already world class facilities.
The Project Officer will support and coordinate the delivery of work packages and projects across a range of initiatives ensuring solutions are customer-focused, sustainable in an enterprise environment, and delivered in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies, to enable the achievement of consistent and quality project outcomes.
The role will undertake secretariat duties for multiple project boards,
develop governance artefacts for the programme and individual projects, and support the ongoing review and maintenance of the programme's Risks and Issues Registers.

- IM/ICT project experience in risk, reporting, budgeting and work package coordination
- ability to maintain project information, records and management reporting
- knowledge of project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2
- strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet timeframes

The Project Officer will provide governance and reporting support to IMP delivery teams, including coordination of key programme forums and reporting activities. The role contributes to the effective operation of the monthly Program Board, Program Working Group, Technical Reference Group and Site Implementation Groups across multiple hospitals.
