Broken Hill Base Hospital & Health Services is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager Grade 3 to lead its Haemodialysis unit. This is a contract position based in Broken Hill, NSW, running from as soon as possible through to 18 October 2026. The successful candidate will bring established NUM experience in haemodialysis and a strong track record managing clinical teams and patient care in a dialysis setting.

- Lead a specialist haemodialysis team in a regional hospital setting
- Contract role through to 18 October 2026, with immediate start available
- Hands-on experience with Fresenius 5008S machines and modern dialysis protocols

Preferred Requirements

- Proven NUM experience specifically in haemodialysis or dialysis services




- Demonstrated competence operating and troubleshooting Fresenius 5008S haemodialysis machines
- Strong clinical leadership and team management skills in a renal care setting
- Knowledge of haemodialysis protocols, patient safety standards, and infection control procedures
- Ability to manage rostering, staff development, and quality outcomes in a regional hospital context

Preferred Qualifications

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Formal NUM qualification or equivalent management credential
- Specialist certification or training in renal nursing or haemodialysis management
