You'll work closely with experienced ICU doctors and a multidisciplinary team, delivering attentive, face-to-face care to patients who require close monitoring and support. The unit is also supported by a dedicated full-time educator, ensuring you have access to guidance, ongoing learning opportunities, and professional development.

What you'll bring

We are looking for Registered Nurses who can demonstrate:

Demonstrated Critical Care or ICU nursing experience

Experience with cardiac monitoring and the ability to recognise and respond to cardiac changes

Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to patient care.

The ability to recognise and respond to changes in a patient's clinical condition and emergency situations.

The ability to apply evidence-based practice and use clinical judgement to support safe, high-quality care.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, families, carers and the broader multidisciplinary team.

Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing clinical demands within a complex and fast-paced environment.

A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining contemporary clinical practice.

ICU training, critical care and Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT), or a strong willingness to develop this skill experience is highly desirable.

Essential requirements:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

This is a role where strong clinical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to recognise subtle changes in a patient's condition are essential.

What you'll be doing

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will:

Provide safe,



compassionate and person-centred care to patients with complex and changing clinical needs.

Monitoring and managing patients experiencing haemodynamic instability

Cardiac monitoring and recognising and responding to changes in cardiac status

Mange non-invasive and invasive ventilation management

Comprehensive patient assessment and ongoing clinical monitoring

Responding effectively to clinical deterioration and emergency situations

Managing complex patients with rapidly changing clinical needs

Working collaboratively with ICU medical staff and the multidisciplinary team

Respond promptly and effectively to clinical deterioration and emergency situations.

Use critical thinking, clinical assessment and evidence-based practice to guide nursing care.

Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve safe and effective patient outcomes.

Advocate for patients and support patients, families and carers to understand their care and make informed decisions.

Manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
