We are seeking GPs to work in any or both of our practices.

The main branch is located in Longford a peaceful rural town yet just 20 minutes’ drive from Launceston.

The Longford Medical Centre (MM2) was renovated in 2012 and provides plenty of space for medical and reception staff, with seven well equipped consulting rooms, an emergency room, two treatment rooms and a nurses’ room. All types of general practice are covered and minor surgery is performed. Launceston Pathology onsite between 8.00am -12.00pm Monday to Friday.

Perth Doctors Surgery (MM2) is located in the peaceful town of Perth located 7km away from Longford and five minutes’ drive from the Launceston Airport. The practice is in a modern renovated cottage (2015) fully equipped with three consulting rooms and two nursing treatment rooms.





Opening hours are Monday to Friday with a clinic on Saturday morning at Longford run on a roster basis. Working hours are flexible by agreement. The practice offers a mixture of bulk and private billing. Afterhours will be covered by a deputising service.

The practices are accredited teaching practices and have been teaching GP registrars and medical students for many years, along with international medical graduates and nursing students. There is an excellent support structure in place to assist trainees.

All the practices are fully computerised and linked through a Terminal Server and have a full complement of up-to-date equipment. All practices are individually accredited with AGPAL.

There is a Physiotherapist on site. A hearing service and Lung Function Testing attend the practice on a regular basis. A Neurologist also consults from the practice.

Skills and Experience required:

· AHPRA registration
