Kinexus has partnered with the Australian Signals Directorate in sourcing experienced PMO Assurance Officers to assess and report on the delivery of projects, portfolios and programs to ensure that their expected value will be delivered. The Assurance Officer will support a dynamic team delivering test, evaluation and reporting functions for a key capability delivery program. In addition to this, the role will also contribute across the broader portfolio function to develop and implement assurance activities including Risk Assurance, Test and Evaluation (T&E;) Assurance, Delivery Health, and Benefits Assurance.

ASD is the federal agency responsible for foreign signals intelligence, cyber warfare and information security. ASD's purpose is to defend Australia from global threats and help advance our national interests. Suitable candidates will be required to complete ASD's Organisation Suitability Assessment (OSA). This will be required prior to commencement and ASD will allocate successful candidates to work areas based on operational needs.

On offer is an initial 12-month contract with 1 x 12-month extension. This role is available in either Canberra (ACT), Brisbane (QLD) or Melbourne (VIC), and does not offer the prospect for candidates to upgrade their clearance - a TSPV clearance is essential for this role.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Assist in maintaining portfolio risk registers and risk reporting products.
- Monitor risk treatments, mitigation actions and reporting obligations to support effective risk management practices.
- Support assurance activities relating to project financial performance, forecasting, affordability and funding utilisation.
- Assist with the review and analysis of project financial information and contribute to portfolio-level financial insights.




- Support readiness assessments by collecting evidence, monitoring assurance actions and maintaining assurance records.
- Contribute to reporting that provides confidence in capability readiness and deployment preparedness.
- Support project and program health assessments through the collection and analysis of delivery performance information.
- Assist with monitoring benefits realisation, improvement actions and assurance recommendations.
