Product Support Manager

We are seeking a talented Product Support Manager to lead the P-8A Poseidon Asset Management Team. This role will be reporting to the P-8A Program Integration Manager.

The Asset Management team unifies technical performance monitoring, predictive modeling, decision support tools, and enterprise sustainment management into a single, cohesive capability focused on optimising the P-8A fleet performance. You will provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) Governance by delivering top-down leadership to the Integrated Product Support team, ensuring adherence to IPS principles as the foundational framework for all product support activities. Through enterprise integration, you will bridge the gap between technical surveillance—covering Deficiency Management and Engineering Change Proposals—and long-term strategic planning, including obsolescence management, supply chain resilience, and Maintenance Support System/Technical Support System alignment. The mission of the role is to enable informed, proactive sustainment decisions that maximise fleet readiness and lifecycle value.

This role is based in RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

- Manage and motivate employees by developing customer support data, and engineering support.




- Act as a conduit for Support Engineering and Supply Chain to identify and implement/coordinate alternative supply options is a requirement of this position
- Develop and integrate support approaches and plans for the sustainment program.
- Develop and execute program and technical strategies, business plans, policies, and procedures.
- Integrate and evaluate support elements to develop program proposals.
- Develop performance metrics and monitor adherence to program plans and schedules.
- Acquire resources and provide technical management of suppliers.
- Lead process improvements and ensure continuous operational effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and team members.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

About you

You are a dynamic and results-driven leader who excels at leading and managing teams responsible for developing, implementing, integrating, and supporting customer and contractual deliverables within Support Engineering. You effectively bridge the gap between Support Engineering functions to ensure aircraft availability targets are consistently met. You have a proven track record of developing and executing business plans, policies, procedures, and technical strategies that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Experience and Qualifications

- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in business planning and execution within engineering support.
- Proficient in developing and integrating sustainment strategies and support plans.
- Knowledge of supplier management and process improvement.
- Ability to develop and track performance metrics.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.




- Technical knowledge to evaluate for viability engineering support solutions.
- Strong analytical knowledge and practical application to incorporate new technologies.
- High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
