About the role
This is an additional Clinical Educator position with Calvary Adelaide Hospital the Emergency Department. This position has been created to meet the specialist skill set required to care for the unique cohort of Emergency Department patients. This position has the capability to enhance and further develop staff in the management and care delivery of Emergency Department patients. This is a outstanding opportunity for a full time role in the education space working for a dynamic team committed to quality patient care and change management.
In collaboration with the Clinical Manager of the ED and Care 24/7 Medical Director and team, this position will optimise learning opportunities for staff on the management of patients within the ED, using a variety of teaching strategies..
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of Emergency Department specialist education to support the nursing team
- Planning and implementation of education programs to develop staff and build nursing capability
- Delivery of simulation training in ED
- Mandatory training and competency assessments for core skills supporting Calvary policies and procedures
- Provide direct clinical support, supervision, education, training and mentorship to all nursing staff.
What you bring
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years post graduate clinical experience in Emergency Department Nursing
- Post Graduate Qualification in Emergency
- Evidence of leadership skills, with a positive and can do attitude
- Ability to deliver creative,
innovative & flexible education within a dynamic and changing environment
- Demonstrated high levels of communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or university education qualification or working towards is desirable
