About the role

You will provide high-level support to lawyers working primarily across health, medical defence and insurance practices. This is a role for someone who enjoys being an important part of a legal team, working closely with experienced lawyers on interesting and often complex matters, and taking real ownership of their work.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and formatting correspondence, court documents and other legal documents

- Managing electronic files and maintaining accurate matter records

- Diary and email management

- Liaising with clients, insurers, counsel, experts and other stakeholders

- Preparing briefs to counsel and experts

- Court filing and arranging service of documents

- Assisting with monthly billing and file administration

- Managing telephone and client enquiries

- Providing day-to-day support to lawyers and the wider team

About you

- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary or Legal Executive

- Experience supporting senior lawyers in a busy legal practice

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Confidence managing diaries, documents, deadlines and competing priorities





- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Sound judgment and initiative

- A professional and approachable manner

- Confidence dealing directly with clients and other professionals

- Robust technology and administrative skills
