We are seeking an experienced Senior CIAM Software Engineer / Technical Lead to deliver large-scale Consumer Identity and Access Management solutions within a complex and highly regulated environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will build features, review code, resolve complex technical issues and guide the team’s engineering practices. You will also mentor other engineers and contribute to solution design, estimation and delivery planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technical implementation of complex CIAM solutions.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable software using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Perform code reviews and uphold solid engineering and testing standards.
- Troubleshoot complex identity, authentication and integration issues.
- Design solutions for advanced CIAM challenges.
- Contribute to delivery estimates, technical refinement and project planning.
- Mentor and upskill engineers within the team.
- Integrate CIAM solutions with enterprise systems and cloud-based services.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.




- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders and project leadership.

Essential Experience

- Advanced object-oriented programming skills.
- Extensive commercial experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong unit and integration testing experience, including frameworks such as Jest.
- Extensive experience implementing complex CIAM solutions.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
- Experience customising and integrating CIAM platforms such as Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock or Ping Identity.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, innovative team environment.

Highly Desirable

- Experience configuring and customising SaaS-based CIAM services.
- Experience building and integrating microservices in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud environments.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
