I'm partnering with an established aged care provider to recruit an experienced Deputy Facility Manager for a senior operational leadership opportunity in Toowoomba.

This is a genuine 2IC position for a strong people leader who enjoys developing teams, driving accountability and keeping a complex service running effectively. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside senior clinical and operational leadership.

You'll support the day-to-day management of a large residential aged care service, taking ownership across people, operations and service performance while stepping into broader management responsibilities when required.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead, coach and develop teams to build a positive, accountable and high-performing culture
- Coordinate day-to-day operations across administration, facilities, hospitality and support services
- Support workforce planning, rostering and labour utilisation in line with operational requirements
- Contribute to budget management, procurement, cost control and operational performance
- Support admissions and occupancy while maintaining a positive experience for residents and families
- Lead operational audits, quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives




- Step into broader operational leadership responsibilities during periods of management leave or absence

Essentials:

- Demonstrated leadership experience within aged care, health, retirement living, hospitality or a comparable service environment
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop people across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong operational capability with the ability to balance day-to-day detail with broader service priorities
- Confidence working across workforce, budgets, compliance and service performance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Working understanding of aged care quality and regulatory requirements, or the ability to develop this quickly
- Business, Hospitality, Health Service Management or related tertiary qualification highly regarded

This could suit an experienced Assistant Manager, Operations Manager, Hotel Services Manager, Retirement Living Manager or senior aged care leader looking to broaden their operational responsibility and take the next step towards whole-of-service management.

You don't necessarily need to come from a clinical background. What matters is demonstrated leadership across multiple teams, strong operational judgement and the ability to create accountability while building positive relationships with staff, residents and families.
