This is a senior multi-site leadership opportunity within a large, established restaurant group. Supporting a substantial portfolio of busy venues across Sydney, you’ll act as a trusted second-in-command and bring genuine operational weight to the broader leadership team.
We’re looking for a confident, seasoned Area Manager (Group General Manager or Regional Manager) who can quickly understand the business, positively influence its people and drive meaningful change. This role goes beyond maintaining operations, you’ll strengthen leadership capability, elevate service and kitchen performance, and move venues forward commercially.

The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of a large portfolio of company-operated restaurants, partnering closely with Venue Managers to improve performance, standards and team engagement.
You will:

- Provide visible, hands-on leadership across a diverse multi-site portfolio
- Act as a trusted support to the Regional General Manager, confidently stepping up when required
- Elevate service standards, kitchen execution and the overall guest experience
- Identify commercial opportunities and translate them into clear, practical actions
- Coach Venue Managers to become stronger, more accountable and commercially capable leaders
- Use operational and financial insights to improve sales, labour, costs and profitability
- Establish clear expectations and confidently address underperformance
- Support change initiatives while building trust and engagement across the group




- Maintain consistency without losing sight of the needs of each individual restaurant

About You
You lead with confidence and credibility to make an impact at a senior level. You understand both front and back-of-house operations, know how strong kitchens should function and can balance people leadership with sound commercial decision-making.
Importantly, you lead without ego. You bring integrity, a strong moral compass and the confidence to identify what is right for the business, even when that means having a challenging conversation or holding a firm boundary.

- Strong experience leading a sizeable portfolio of high-volume restaurants
- Exposure to structured, company-operated or corporate hospitality environments
- Genuine understanding of kitchen operations and restaurant service
- Strong commercial acumen across sales, labour, costs and profitability
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through change
- A track record of improving venue performance and developing capable leaders
- A composed, credible and highly accountable leadership style
