- Existing leads & pipeline to build upon
- Partner with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs & Marketing
- Highly autonomous, field-based opportunity
- Empowering, trusting leadership style
- Genuine scope to grow as the business expands

About the Company

Our client is an innovative MedTech organisation known for developing technologies designed to address important challenges within healthcare.
With significant research and development behind its latest technologies, the business is now entering an exciting commercialisation phase of it’s new portfolio.
Australia is among the first markets globally to launch, creating a rare opportunity for an experienced MedTech Business Development Manager to get involved at the very beginning; helping establish the market, identify early adopters and influence how the commercial opportunity develops.

The Opportunity

This isn't an established territory waiting to be managed. You'll help create the market.
You'll inherit early leads and opportunities already being developed, but the real opportunity lies in building from there.
You'll identify where the strongest opportunities exist, find the early adopters, create new relationships and progressively move hospital accounts from interest and evaluation through to commercial adoption.
This is genuine business and market development.
You'll need to understand how hospitals operate, recognise what is required to change an established clinical process and build support across multiple stakeholder groups. One conversation may be strategic and C-suite focused; the next could be highly practical with Department Heads, NUMs and clinical or technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

- Identify and engage early adopters of recent technology
- Develop relationships across C-suite, clinical, technical/operational stakeholders
- Progress existing leads and opportunities through the sales funnel
- Proactively develop new pipeline across ANZ
- Understand customer challenges and pain points
- Work closely with Clinical, Medical & Marketing team members
- Identify, engage and solidify relationships with KOLs and key stakeholders
- Help shape the commercial model as the market evolves
- Contribute to the longer-term development of market share

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who already understands this clinical environment and can combine that knowledge with genuine business development capability.

You'll ideally bring:

- Track record of successfully launching medical technologies into the ANZ market
- Proven local MedTech sales expertise
- Superior new business development capabilities
- Hands on clinical experience adv.
- Established relationships with relevant hospital stakeholders and KOLs
- Experience introducing new technology and supporting customer adoption
- Ability to identify and engage early adopters
- Confidence navigating complex hospital stakeholder groups
- Ability to engage with varied account stakeholders
- Strong commercial judgement and pipeline management capability
- Proactive, entrepreneurial and highly autonomous working style
- Capital equipment and/or consumables experience highly regarded
- Collaborative & ‘team player’ mindset

Why This Role?

There are plenty of MedTech sales roles where you'll inherit a territory, established customers, an existing category and a well-worn sales process.

This isn't one of them.

You'll join at a really exciting time, helping take a technology to the ANZ market and establish its need within the healthcare landscape.
And as the commercial opportunity grows, so too could your career, with the potential for the Australian team and future leadership opportunities to develop within the business.

If you understand the hospital landscape, know where the early adopters of new technologies are likely to be and get excited by creating a market rather than simply servicing one, we'd love to hear from you.
